DYNABook has introduced Portégé Z40L-N, a business-focused copilot+ PC business carrier, driven by Intel’s latest core Ultra processor (Series 2), with a Neural Treatment Unit (NPU) optimized for the AI tool’s work load.
There is also Intel ARC graphics for smooth performance in data visualization, video editing software and video conferencing software.
Business Notebook has a 14-inch 16:10 screen and weighs less than 1 kg, similar to Dynabook X8/Å and X6/Y released in 2024.
AI-driven efficiency and security
However, the Z40L-N is located in a MIL-STD-810H compatible magnesium alloy chassis, a design that is typically reserved for robust laptops to provide protection against drops, shocks and harsh environmental conditions.
DYNABook has also mounted this lightweight AI notebook with a user replacement battery. In addition, the device supports an AI-drive power control system, including adaptive damping, which optimizes energy consumption based on work load requirements to extend the life of the battery.
The laptop is designed for professionals who require both mobility and performance, and incorporate AI-driven improvements such as Windows Studio Effects that improve video calls with background blur, lighting adjustments and eye contact correction.
It also includes AI-ASSISTED GESTER CHECKS for touch-free navigation, allowing users to change slides and control media with simple hand movements, improve presentations and workflow efficiency.
Live image texts provide real-time sound transcription, improvement of accessibility and workflow efficiency, while security features include detection of human presence that locks the screen as the user steps away, and Peek Alert warning of unauthorized spectators.
Like a Microsoft Secured-Core PC, the Z40L-N security with chip-to-cloud protection and integrates Windows Hello Biometric Authentication, enabling fast and secure login through face recognition or fingerprint scanning.

Dynabook Portégé Z40L-N comes with a 3-year warranty on pre-configured EZ-BUY models and a 4-year guarantee of built-in-to-order versions with optional on-site options to minimize downtime.
The laptop is immediately available with pre -configured models starting at $ 1,699. Custom configurations are also available.
