Three staff from the Triergic Fighting Department (CTD) were martyrded and five others wounded in two separate terrorist incidents in Khyber-Pakhtunkhwa (KP) province late Wednesday night, officials confirmed.
In Bannu’s Domel area, guns attacked the Counter Terrorism Department (CTD) staff at Company Road, Martyring Three and Wounded Two Officers, Express News reported.
Three civilians were also injured during the cross -fire, police officers said.
The wounded and deceased were moved to a nearby hospital, while additional police and armored vehicles were deployed to the area in response.
Regional police officer Sajjad Khan and District Police Saleem Abbas Kalachi visited the wounded officers and expressed solidarity with the deceased’s families.
In a separate incident in Swabi, unidentified assailants opened fire on the police’s checkpoint within Swabi -police borders. No injuries were reported.
District police officer Swabi Muhammad Azhar Khan said the striker fled under the deck of darkness against nearby woodlands after police returned.
A search and strike surgery is ongoing in the area and security has been tightened, he added.
