Three dead, eight wounded as walls collapses in heavy rain over Punjab

At least three people were killed and eight others wounded in rain -related incidents after heavy rainfall and thunderstorms in Rawalpindi and Jhelum districts, Express News reported.

In Jhelum’s Sohawa Tehsil, two people lost their lives, and four were injured when a border wall collapsed on a Loader vehicle in Mohalla Shaheedan. The wounded were moved to a hospital in Rawalpindi, where two remain in critical condition.

Two additional wall collapse events occurred in the nearby areas of Pindi and Sohala. In Dervaisa, a woman was inflicted on serious injuries, while a child and a young man in Sohala were reported critically wounded after being hit by falling waste.

In Rawalpindis Ratta Amral area, a 24-year-old man identified as Musa, died after a mosquito wall collapsed and buried him under the rubble. He was a resident of Hazara Colony. The body was moved to a local hospital for further procedures.

Local authorities have warned of continued weather volatility and encouraged residents to remain cautious, especially in stormy and structurally vulnerable areas.
