- Dummy -Units of Three iPhone 17 -Models have appeared
- A practical video shows the new designs
- We have also predicted thicknesses for each of the handset
If Apple sticks to its usual schedule this year, we are only six months away from the launch of the Apple iPhone 17, and a new practical video leak shows dummy devices for iPhone 17, iPhone 17 Air and iPhone 17 Pro.
Posted by IdeviceHelp (via @majinbuofficial) the video gives us a good look at the design of the three handsets. These dummy devices have apparently been created based on “internal documents” covering the design and dimensions of the phones.
We can see the rather dramatic redesign that the iPhone 17 Pro was joined this year with a complete camera on top of the rear hole. It is an updated look that we have now seen in several leaks.
The iPhone 17 Air – Apparently, replaces the iPhone 16 Plus this year – gets a similar camera in the back, but it will be smaller. The iPhone 17, meanwhile, stays with a more traditional design that is not too far away from the iPhone 16.
Different dimensions
Look at
This leaked practical video doesn’t really reveal too much about the phones besides the designs, but the thicknesses are indicated as 0.3 inches (0.72 mm) for iPhone 17, 0.22 inches (5.59 mm) for iPhone 17 air and 0.34 inches (8.64 mm) for iPhone 17 Pro.
It would make the iPhone 17 about the same thickness as the iPhone 16, and the iPhone 17 Pro slightly thicker than the iPhone 16 Pro – maybe fit into a battery in greater capacity (or at least that’s what we hope.
There is some speculation in the video that the iPhone 17 air will be too thin to fit into the Magsafe magnets -although wireless charging will still be supported. The most recently launched iPhone, iPhone 16E, does not support Magsafe.
No doubt there will be much more in the way of leaks and rumors between now and September, where these phones are expected to debut. They get together with the iPhone 17 Pro Max, which will basically be a larger iPhone 17 Pro.
