Chet Holmgren scored everyone except one of his 24 points in the second half when Oklahoma City Thunder stood from a 29-point deficit after JA Morant left the game with a hip injury and beat Memphis Grizzlies 114-108 on Thursday night for a 3-0 lead in the series in the first round.
Morant was injured with just over three minutes left in the first half and Memphis led 67-40. They got the next basket after he went out and still led 26 points at the break.
The 29-point comeback was the second largest in an NBA game after the season since play-by-play data began to be recorded in the 1996-97 season.
The only major: A comeback from 31 points down the Los Angeles Clippers against the Golden State on April 15, 2019.
The top seed thunder, which won games 1 131-80 in the fifth largest margin of victory in the NBA after seasonal history, did not even have the lead in this before the fourth quarter. Now they can close the series on Saturday.
