Tiger Woods won’t be in the field this week at the Oakmont Country Club for the 125th US Open, but he knows exactly what these golfers are meeting Thursday during the opening round.
Woods, who has restored an Achilles, he tore in March, finished tied to second place on the famous 2007 US Open course.
In partnership with his Sunday -red brand, Wood’s advice gave those who participated in the third major of the year.

Trust in your game will be key.
“There is no forgery of Oakmont,” Woods said in the video sent to Instagram. “The golf course is big, yes, but it’s just no way around it. You just have to hit the golf ball well, and it favors longer men just because of the degrees, the complexes.”
There is only one problem with the long -hit balls. They should go better.

Golfers have LO during exercise rounds on how thick it is on Oakmont Fairway and around the green.
But as Woods said, there is no forgery of the challenge Oakmont presents. It’s a question of how well you trust your golf game.
If you can hit the ball for a long time, Woods thinks Scorecard will favor you instead of those who decide to club down to hit a straight ball.

“It just helps so much to come with shorter iron, to be able to sok the ball,” explained Woods, an unusually long hitter. “It’s all about missing out on the ball on correct spots … because if you don’t, it’s terrible!”
In addition to the rough who presented a challenge in Oakmont, some golfers have discussed the treachery of the green. A miss of putt could lead the ball down a smooth slope well past the hole, making it critical to control spin with approach shots and speed with putts once you get on.

There are a couple of golfers who can beat the ball long and straight, Scottie Scheffler and Bryson DeChambeau among those who could run this week.
Dechambeau is the reigning US open champion after defeating Rory McIlroy at Pinehurst # 2 last year. But Scheffler remains Red Hot after his PGA championship winnings at the Quail Hollow Club last month.
