- A new image generation model from Bytedance Tops Artificial Analysis’ AI Benchmark
- Seedream 4.0 looks so real that I can hardly tell what’s right more
- AI model is currently $ 30 for 1,000 picture generations
Tikkok’s parent company Bytedance has released a new AI image generator – and it’s so real that I have no idea what’s fake anymore.
In fact, the new AI model, Seedream 4.0, is better than Google’s latest deals, Nano Banana, which has taken the Internet by storm in the last few weeks-we jumped on the latest image-prompt craze to put it on the test.
AI-Benchmark, artificial analysis Shared new results showing Freeam 4.0 is “New leading image model across both the artificial analysis text for image and image editing arena that surpasses Google’s Gemini 2.5-FLASH (Nano-Banana), across both!”
The benchmark images against each other and asking users to decide which one is better, not knowing which AI model has generated them. Seedream 4.0 tops the Leaderboard with an ELO of 1.205, just a little surpassed Nano -Banan with 1.201.
Seedream 4.0 is currently available via AI platforms such as FAL.AI, replicate and directly from Bytance itself. Currently, the image generation model costs $ 30 for 1,000 images.
The images created by the AI model are so realistic that it is almost impossible to see if they are fake or not. In fact, a Reddit user shared their images generated from Seedream 4.0 and the results are really scary.

What’s right more?
Usually, when I see an AI picture on social media, I can immediately tell that it is not right – and while it looks incredibly realistic, there is a ‘creepy valley’ feeling that I just can’t shake.
Below you can see a number of photos created by Seedream 4.0 and shared on Reddit by the user Denundownows2465. When I look at the pictures I don’t get any sense of insecurity – they just look real.
Of course, the requests have used smart techniques to try to trick the mind’s eye, such as image grains or funny filters, but I’m not sure I would once think twice if I saw any of these shared on social media – and it scares me.
What do you think? Are these pictures so much more impressive than Nano -Banan? Tell us that in the comments below.
Today, most of the photos you see on Instagram can just as well be generated and probably. From fake influences to heavily edited images it is almost impossible to find real photos online these days.
The development of AI image generators has been staggering. About a year ago, each generated image was clearly AI -Slop, but now they are essentially indispensable to the human eye. Older generations have been targeted by fake e emails and scam calls for years; Now it may be the newer generation turn to be fooled by fake images.
