Timothée Chalamet was a no-show at the recent Grammy Awards, despite being nominated in the Best Compilation Soundtrack for Visual Media category, his first nod at the ceremony.
The Marty Supreme star earned the nomination for his soundtrack work on the Bob Dylan biopic, A complete unknownbut failed to get a Grammy.
While the credit went to the team behind Sinnersended Chalamet’s absence raising eyebrows as he has been a fixture during the current awards cycle.
However, it was his performance at another awards event that forced him to skip the Grammys in Los Angeles.
The 30-year-old actor was busy attending the London Critics’ Circle Theater Awards, where he won the actor of the year award.
Prior to the ceremony, Chalamet joined British filmmaker Richard Curtis for a Q&A to discuss his latest work.
The London honor has become just one of many that the American-French artist has collected for his performance as aspiring table tennis player, Marty Mauser, in the film directed by Josh Safdie.
So far, Timothée Chalamet has won a Golden Globe and a critics’ choice for Marty Supremeamong other accolades, while further nominations for BAFTAs, SAG’s Actor Awards and Oscars are still pending.
