Spike Lee has finally treated the rumors of his feud with actor Timothee Chalamet.
During a performance on the latest episode of Bill Simmons Podcast, The American filmmaker revealed that there is “no rivalry” and “no competition at all” between him and Wonka star.
“He is a good guy, he is a real [Knicks] Fan, he is a great actor, ”Spike told the host.
Later in the interview Malcolm x Director also expressed his interest in working with Timothee.
“We’ve talked about making a movie together when his schedule is cleaned up,” said the Oscar-winning film producer. “The next four or five years.”
The 68-year-old filmmaker added that their upcoming film “has nothing to do with sports.”
Unfortunately, Timothee seems quite packed at the moment as he is going on a press trip later in the year for his upcoming comedy drama movie, Marty Supreme.
He shoots too DUNE: PART THREE, which is scheduled for release in cinemas in December 2026.
Meanwhile, Spike also promotes his new movie, Highest 2 lowest. Denzel Washington and Jeffrey Wright play the lead roles in the film.
