The affected Women for America (CWA) has submitted a title IX complaint against the Rochester Institute of Technology (RIT) for having allowed Trans -Athlet Sadie Schreiner to compete for women’s freedom, Pakinomist Digital has learned.
CWA has lodged its complaint with the US Ministry of Education, which recently launched studies of other institutions of potential violations of title IX, including San Jose State University, University of Pennsylvania and Athletic Associations in Massachussetts, Minnesota and California.
CWA CEO and President Penny Nance made a statement to Pakinomist Digital that elaborates the complaint.
“The Rochester Institute of Technology continues to violate title IX anti-discrimination rules for male and female teams by listing a transidentifying man on his woman’s track team. Rit makes the apology, it follows NCAA’s transgender participation policy (TPP), but this policy is not federal Law and does not actually comply with title IX.
“Although rit claims publicly It follows NCAA policy, its duty under the law is to follow Title IX. Educational institutions cannot hide behind NCAA for its intentional violations of women’s civil rights. Neither NCAA’s previous politics nor its revised policy announced on February 6, 2025, fully protects female sports for women only as required by section IX rules that differentiate male and female teams on the basis of sex. “

A spokesman for Rit previously told Pakinomist Digital that Schreiner is not attending future events as the program complies with NCAA’s new politics It reflects President Donald Trump’s recent executive order forbids trans -athletes from women’s sports.
“We continue to follow the NCAA participation policy for transient student athletes after the Trump administration’s executive order. Sadie is not attending the next meeting,” the spokesman said.
However, Rit has not confirmed to Pakinomist Digital whether Schreiner has been removed from the schedule and no longer practicing with the team. Schreiner still has one Page for player profile On the team’s official website.
NCAA’s policy also says that a biological man can still practice a woman’s team and “receive benefits.”
“A student athlete assigned to a man at birth can practice on an NCAA women’s team and receive all other benefits that apply to student athletes,” the policy reads.
President Donald Trump signed “No Men Men In Women’s Sports” executive orders last week, which cuts federal funding to any institution that allows trans athletes to compete in women’s sports.
Schreiner currently has several school posts in women’s tracks, including as Rit’s woman’s indoor track record holder in the 200-, 300 and 400-meter strike, 5 and Rit’s women’s outdoor record holder in the 200- and 400 meters strike.
Schreiner has been a prominent controversial figure in women’s orbit and field for the past year, especially after a performance of the 2024 NCAA Division III Outdoor Track & Field Championship in May.

Earlier that month, Schreiner competed at the Liberty League championship and won both the women’s 200 and 400-meter and broke the 400-meter record in the process. Schreiner would be completed last by more than two seconds if the athlete had put the same performance in the gentlemen’s competition.
Recently, at the end of January, Schreiner boasted after winning an event against female opponents.
“Not the race I was looking for at all this week, my spikes almost fell off on swing, and with a bad start my time wasn’t almost what I wanted,” Rit Runner wrote in an Instagram post.
“The good news is that the season just started and I want to leave everything on the field at Nationals,” Schreiner added with a transgender pride flag emoji.
On January 17, Schreiner took first place in the 200- and 400-meter strikes at Brockport Friday Night Rust Buster and took top places over two female seniors. In 200 meters Dash, Schreiner Rit teammate Caroline Hill beat with 1.5 seconds and took first place in the 400-meter strike from Brockport’s Marissa Wise by almost 3.5 seconds. Schreiner’s results automatically obtained qualification for the all-Atlantic regional course and field championships.
On January 24, Schreiner took first place in the 200 meter strike at Rit Friday Meet and beat the Liberty League Junior Lexi Rodriguez from Brockport with an even faster time. On January 30, the Schreiner took first place in the 200 and 400-meter strikes against the Liberty League opponents.

Schreiner also made it a point to Speak out Against states and colleges that do not offer the trans -athlete a full scholarship as Schreiner would transfer in December. The athlete accused laws in 25 say forbids trans athletes to compete with girls and women.
