“The investigation has found no evidence to support the claims against Coach Golden,” the statement reads. “The University’s conclusion proves that the complaint was creditless.”
Golden was charged with sexual harassment, sexual exploitation, persecution and cyber stalking of more women, including students, in November. A report in the school’s student newspaper claimed Golden made unwanted progress on Instagram, requested sexual favors and sent photos and videos of his genitals.
The complainant entitled IX was allegedly made on September 29.
Shepherd tore those who tried to generate a “false tale” around Gator’s head coach.

“Coach Golden and I have respected the process throughout while actively engaging in the university. However, there were many who did not respect the investigation process. Instead, they tried to target the Coach Golden and operate their agenda and this study for their own self-interest.
“Coach Golden appreciates the support he and his program have received from so many at university and from all over the country. Now that this ends, Coach can continue to focus on the basketball season and consider his legal options in the off season – but now it is Time to get on.
Golden denied the claims in a statement in November and said he would weigh a defamation case.
“In the last month, I have actively participated in and respected the confidentiality of an ongoing school study,” the statement reads. “I recently engaged Ken Turkel to advise me on my ability to set defamation claims while this confidential investigation is ongoing.

“My family and I appreciate the support we have received and remains convinced that the university will continue its efforts to finish its review correctly.”
