When Brady received the chance to take the reins from a wounded Bledsoe in the early 2001 season, he appeared at the elite level. The rest was really history.
Brady appeared on the “impaulsive” podcast with Logan Paul and Mike Majlak. He was asked about Sanders’ draft slide. He said he was not involved in Sanders’ evaluation process, even as a minority owner of Las Vegas Raiders. He criticized the media’s story about the draft before sharing his words of wisdom to Sanders.
“So no one knows. I actually texted because I know him very well,” Brady said. “And I said, ‘guy, no matter what happens, no matter where you go, it’s your first day. Day 2 means more than the draft. I was 199. So who could talk better than me – what it really means. Use it as motivation. You get your chances, take advantage of it.'”
Sanders had a zero agreement with the Brady mark when he was a quarterback in Jackson State. It helped to start the relationship between the two athletes. Sanders then transferred to Colorado when his father, Deion Sanders, took over as the head coach.

Brady remembered to see the coverage around Aaron Rodgers during the draft of 2005. Rodgers was expected to be a No. 1 choice before San Francisco 49ers took Alex Smith.
“I remember when they talked about Aaron Rodgers who slipped, and Aaron slipped to suffer 21 in the first round or whatever it was. I’m like, ‘Dude, you’re the 21st election in the first round. I think they still think you’re pretty good. You’re still a good player. You’re still a first round election in the NFL. There are only 32 of those guys every year.’ So use it as motivation, ”he said. “No matter where you end up going, it’s still about your performance. As, what do you do when you get there because you get there.”
Brady mentioned that some of the big ones he played with on the patriots were not high drafts of or chose at all, including Rodney Harrison, Wes Welker, Julian Edelman and Danny Amendola.
He described the draft as “an overhyped day when many people sell stories and say, okay, this is the big day, it’s draft. And it’s an important day, it’s fun and I love to see it and see it. But I’ve also been there on day 2, where they actually have to show up and learn a playbook, learn (to) be part of a hill room. There is a lot of growth.”
Sanders will now look to win the starting job with Browns. He has to knock out Kenny Pickett, Joe Flacco and Dillon Gabriel.

“He has to show up every day because you as a quarterback have to be a leader,” Brady added. “And for me is a leader, I don’t care about my teammates, and don’t I care what we are trying to achieve?”
