Top army leaders condemn attacks on Saudi facilities and warn of dire consequences

warns that such unjustified aggression can undermine ongoing peaceful efforts, conducive environment for dialogue

The military leadership on Tuesday strongly condemned the recent Iranian attacks on Saudi Arabia’s petrochemical and industrial complexes, calling them an “unnecessary escalation” that threatened to derail mediation efforts to end the Middle East crisis.

Iran earlier attacked a petrochemical complex in Saudi Arabia’s industrial city of Jubail, located in the Eastern Province. The State Department expressed “its deep concern and unequivocal condemnation” of the missile and drone strikes.

In a statement issued today, the Inter-Services Public Relations (ISPR) said the army’s top brass also condemned the attacks in the 274th Corps Commanders’ Conference at the General Headquarters (GHQ) in Rawalpindi.

“The Forum noted with concern and strongly condemned the recent attacks on the KSA’s petrochemical and industrial complex as an unnecessary escalation that destroys sincere efforts to resolve the conflict by peaceful means. The Forum noted that the restraint and calibration so far displayed by the KSA, despite serious provocations, enabled mediation and such a diplomatic solution, which has nevertheless entailed serious attacks. the ongoing peaceful opportunities and enabling environment,” said ISPR.
