Topret denies PTI Reserved Seats Order

Islamabad:

The Supreme Court Office has refused to allow Pakistan Tehreek-E-Insaf (PTI)/Sunni Intehad Councils (SIC) application requesting the issuance of the ‘order of the court’ signed by 12 judges uploaded on the Apex Court’s website.

Two applications were moved by PTI adviser, Hamid Khan and Salman Akram Raja. The Court’s official called on the lawyer (AOR) to apply for a certified copy instead of moving an application. The official added that when the order is available to the office, it will be shared.

Raja, the Secretary General of PTI, also wrote a letter to the Supreme Court on the subject. The letter stated that on June 27, Justice Salahuddin Panwar repeated himself from the bench and heard the reserved seats review, while justice Jamal Khan Mandokhail adopted a separate order.

In addition, the letter was stated that a separate order was adopted by Justice Muhammad Ali Mazhar and Justice Hassan Azhar Rizvi. Seven judges adopted a clear order and accepted the petitions in the Reserved SEATS case.

At the beginning of the case, Justice rejected Ayesha Malik and Justice Aqeel Abbasi Audit Services. “It is requested respectfully that certified copies of each of the judgments/orders can be delivered at the earliest,” it said.

“It is also requested that the court’s order signed by twelve honored members of the bench after justice Salahuddin Panwar can also be given,” the letter continued.

The website to the Supreme Court in Pakistan has sent a short order with regard to the overwritten and connected petitions, signed by only 10 judges from the constitutional bench. However, the court’s order of 12 judges signed on the bench who heard the overwritten and connected questions.

“A request for the certified copy of the aforementioned order signed by twelve honorary judges is made through the immediate application,” the letter says. However, the registrar office has also refused to receive the letter.

Last week, the Supreme Court’s constitutional bench of the Supreme Court deposed Apex Court’s judgment of July 12, 2024, which had resurrected PTI as a parliamentary party and awarded the reserved seats in legislators.

The bench allowed with a majority of 7 all civilian review petitions against the July 12, paved the way for the reigning coalition to get two-thirds majority in parliament, which will have significant consequences for national policy.

Meanwhile, PTI spokesman Sheikh Waqa’s Acram sharply criticized the constitutional bench’s decision on the review of the petition and warned that the party would not remain silent, would rather raise its vote against the decision on each forum.

“The resolution of the Seat Seats Review case has shown that there was no constitution. It is a joke with democracy. This decision was written in advance and everyone knew what decision would be announced,” he accused.

“First, general seats were taken away from us [in the February 8, 2024 general elections]. Now all the reserved seats have also been removed, “he said.” The people will laugh at the decision on reserved seats. We do not leave this case; We raise our voice against it on each forum. “

Akram said the meetings of the lawyers and family members with PTI founder Imran Khan had been banned despite court decisions. “They are afraid of the people coming out of getting the message to the party’s founder,” he said, demanding resumption of the Imran meetings.

When he talked about the PTI protest in the Punjab assembly during the budget, Akram said the protest was due to a “murderous budget”. He criticized the Punjab Assembly’s speaker’s decision to suspend 26 members in 15 sessions and send references to them.

“How could elected representatives be suspended for protesting? There will be a protest all over the world,” he warned. “The speaker sends the referral to the Election Commission [of Pakistan (ECP)] Because the opposition raised his voice for people’s rights, “he added.

“Now [the chairmanship of] Four standing selection is snapped from PTI. They cannot dampen their voice by removing the selections. We condemn this speaker’s decision. He does this to please the Punjab Chief Minister. “

Akram revealed that six PTI workers released from prison recently had died of jaundice. “Our workers who were in prison for six months are now dying. This cannot be a coincidence. We require impartial examination and those responsible must be severely punished.”

In response to a question about enrolling in any political alliance, the PTI spokesman declared that after the parliamentary elections last year, lectures were held with other political parties, but these parties did not get the courage to stand up.

“Maulana Fazlur Rehman [the Jamiat Ulema-e-Islam chief] Had never joined the opposition protest. We gave honor to Maulana Fazlur Rehman, but he did not follow us. Now no one needs Maulana Fazlur Rehman anymore, ”he said.
