Related Torential Rain demanded at least three more lives in Punjab on Friday and raised the total death toll from the Monsun season to 106.
Rescue workers restored three more bodies in Rawalpindi, while searching for a missing nine -year -old boy who thought had been swept away in a crowded drainage is still underway.

The Punjab government has declared a rainfall emergency across several districts to control the crisis as heavy rain continues to tilt the province causing flash floods in different regions.
Police and rescue officials have attributed most deaths to the collapse of roofs and electrocution events. Residents have been asked to avoid unnecessary journeys and stay away from exposed electrical wires and open man holes.

Several low -lying urban areas remain flooded, with residents forced to pump out of flooding water themselves. Many reported significant damage to household items, including furniture, appliances and food supplies.
Rescue 1122 said it had deployed 400 employees across the affected areas, helped with rescue operations and helped 56 individuals reach secure locations.
In response to the deteriorating situation, Rawalpindi commissioner Aamir Khattak has established a central control room to oversee emergency operations in Rawalpindi, Attock, Chakwal, Jhelum and Murree.
In addition, seven public schools in the district have been converted into temporary flood shelves.

Water and Sanitation Agency (WASA) officials said that all disposal stations are running with full capacity, with emergency teams deployed in the field.
Provincial Disaster Management Authority (PDMA) emitted flood alerts for rivers and streams over Punjab and warned that further heavy rain can cause further swelling of waterways.
Previously, chief minister Maryam Nawaz confirmed in a statement shared on X (formerly Twitter) that a rain had been declared emergency.
She ordered local authorities to remain vigilant, issue warnings through sirens and messages and ensure timely assistance to flood areas.
Authorities continue to monitor the developing weather situation while emergency teams remain on high alarm.
