Islamabad:
Islamabad Traffic Police (ITP) has issued a special traffic plan to manage the arrival and departure of Pakistan Super League (PSL) cricket team, ensuring smooth traffic flow and strict security on major urban roads.
A ITP spokesman said improved security arrangements are in effect along key routes, including Expressway, Club Road, 9th Avenue and Srinagar Highway.
Temporary traffic derivations will be implemented today from 1 p.m. 5.30pm to 6.30 pm and again from 7 p.m. 12.30 to 1.30 to accommodate team movements. Motorists are advised to predict traffic delays during these hours and plan their journey accordingly.
Drivers are encouraged to use service roads linked to the highway and Srinagar Highway to avoid overloaded areas. For those who are on their way to the blue area, F-6 and F-7 sectors, the H-8 review is recommended.
Traffic to and from Red Zone and Serena Hotel will use Margalla Road, Jinnah Avenue, Ayub Chowk and Nadra Chowk, while travelers to Bari Imam are also advised to use Nadra Chowk. Commuters traveling to sectors I and H should take Rawalpindi-Peshawar Road and IJP Road via adjacent service paths. In addition, the entrance to heavy vehicles in Islamabad will be limited during team movements.
