Women’s Fencer Stephanie Turner spoke against USA hencing during an interview on Pakinomist Channel’s “American Reports” Thursday after a video of her kneeling to protest against a trans opponent became viral.
“There really is no opportunity to walk around this when there are extremists who take on positions on the authoritative positions on [USA Fencing]So I have very little opportunity, but am forced to fence, “Turner said.

Turner’s decision to kneel and refuse to meet Trans -Competition Redmond Sullivan at Cherry Blossom Open Last weekend resulted in Turner being treated a black card – the most serious penalty that led to deportation from the tournament or event for serious rules or unsportsmanly behavior.
“There is a possibility that trans -fun women have a physical advantage over their cisgender opponents after transition,” Lehfeldt wrote. “There is also a possibility that they do not. In fence there is no data to support neither point of view. Giving athletes a sense of belonging and a willingness to live is more powerful than medals and competitive glory.
“Transgender women are women, and gender is not sex,” he insisted and added, “Transking fences deserve the right to compete with the gender they identify with.”

The United States fence first adopted its current trans-inclusion policy in 2023. It gives transnry athletes to compete in the women’s category at both junior and senior levels after completing a calendar year with testosterone oppression treatment.

Now, after sitting against female fencing seeking protection against trans -cluttering, the United States fence is fought down in a global controversy after Turner’s viral protest.

On Thursday, the organization defended its current policy for trans-inclusion in a public statement.
“The US Fence remains obliged to promote an inclusive, respectful society for everyone in our sport. We believe in the principle of creating safe communities where all athletes and members of the community have a place,” the statement reads.
“While we understand that there are a number of perspectives, US hencing will continue to engage in respectful, research-based dialogue and review as the policy develops in the Olympic and Paralympic movement as well as domestic law, hatred of any kind is not acceptable-in personal or personal. Let us keep the conversation respectful and strip that is welcome.”
