Travis Hunter’s father was arrested in Florida this week to claim to have violated his probationary period, online items show.
Heisman Trophy -Winner’s father was reportedly “too far away from his surveillance unit to be traced exactly” as his whereabouts were unknown back in the evening of June 28 for 11 minutes.
He claimed he was in a bedroom while the unit was in the living room. Then he said on July 1 that he was misplacing the monitor, the US reported Today. An arrest warrant was issued for his arrest on July 10.

Hunter Sr. was jailed on drug addiction and gun taxes back in September due to an incident that took place in 2023. Hunter Sr. is limited to the Home Inclusion for a year during his three-year probationary, after soning a 90-day verdict.
He was released from prison about a week before Hunter received his Heisman, and a Florida court gave him access to Travel to Green Bay for the NFL draft back in April.
Hunter Sr. Was only limited to traveling to and from the hotel and drafting and had to be home the day after the first round. He was obliged to submit an itinerary to his community control offices.

When he won Heisman, Hunter was emotional when he talked about his father.
“I want to say something to my dad. He’s not here and wasn’t able to handle it, but I know you are watching tv. Dad, I love you. For all the things you’ve gone through man … Look now on your oldest son. I did it for you, man,” he said.
“All the times when you didn’t get to see me, or the times you came to see my games. From not watching probably two games in high school to watching me on TV every weekend and coming to me. It means so much to me. I know you would be here and you can’t but believe me I got you. I bring the trophy home.”

Hunter was the second election in the NFL draft of his hometown of Jacksonville Jaguars, who acted up from the fifth election to acquire him in a step with Cleveland Browns.
