Travis Kelce at Saquon Barkley’s new contractinCitaments: ‘Don’t like it’

Saquon Barkley’s record -breaking contract with Philadelphia Eagles has some fine print that Travis Kelce is not pleased with.

During this week’s episode of Kelce’s podcast “New Heights” with his brother Jason, called Kansas City Chief’s tight end Eagles for the many incentives included in Barkley’s contract.

Barkley’s two-year-old, $ 41.2 million deal, with a salary of $ 20.6 million a year, made him the highest paid race back in the NFL story.

However, only $ 36 million of this deal is guaranteed, while Barkley can earn an additional $ 15 million if he meets certain incentives.

“Eww,” Kelce said in response to the incentive aspect of Barkley’s deal. “I don’t like that one bit …. should he get a 2,000-yard season every year?”

The incentive clauses in Barkley’s new contract are unknown at this time. His previous contract, which he signed with the Eagles Last Offseason, included incentives to earn first team of all-pro-hawk, rushed for at least 1,000 and then 1,500 yards and wins in each round of the playoffs.

Barkley ended up paying all those, with 2,005 rushing yards of 345 carries with 13 rushing scores, caught 33 passports in 278 yards with two more touchdowns. He was then the centerpiece of their playoffs for the Super Bowl Lix, where they beat Kelce’s bosses.

And now Kelce does not approve the incentives in Barkley’s agreement, especially those based on team success, such as playoff winner.

“So you have to trust someone else’s voice to get your incentive?” Asked Travis Kelce. “It’s F — ed up.”
