Taylor Swift and Travis Kelce may have announced their engagement on Tuesday afternoon, but Kansas City Chiefs star’s father wasted the beans on when his son actually suggested.
Ed Kelce told a local Cleveland TV station that the three-time Super Bowl champion suggested about two weeks ago. The pictures posted in Swift’s Instagram account showed the tight end down to one knee, surrounded by flowers in a garden setting.

“Travis actually made the proposal, oh, maybe two weeks, not quite two weeks ago,” Ed Kelce told News 5 Cleveland on Tuesday. “He should postpone it for this week. I think she might have got a little Antsy, but he would postpone her to this week, to, you know, do some magnificent things to make it a big special event.
“And I told him repeatedly, you know you could do it on the side of the road, do it any place that makes it a special event … when you come down on one knee and ask her to marry you.”

“He got her out there, they were about to go out for dinner and he said, ‘Let’s go out and have a glass of wine.’ … they came out there and that was when he asked her and it was beautiful, ”he added. “They started facetiming me and their mother and her people to make sure everyone knew it. So watching them together is great.”
Ed Kelce said he was in Philadelphia Eagle’s practice when he received the call. The brilliant father could not have been happier for his son and soon daughter -in -law.
Kelce and Swift’s relationship had been a focal point of the NFL season since she appeared for Arrowhead Stadium to support Chief’s tight end against Chicago Bears. Since then, Swift routinely participated in games in Kansas City and was there two years ago to watch Chiefs go to the Super Bowl.

She probably comes back on Arrowhead this season as Chiefs seems to be coming back to the big game.
