Rumors of Philadelphia Eagles, potentially skipping a visit to the White House to celebrate their Super Bowl Lix victory, took social media by storm at the end of February.
The lecture swirled even when Eagles had not yet received an official invitation. President Donald Trump eventually invited the team to Washington, DC, but the lecture that they were not ignited a roof from the Basketball Hall of Famer Charles Barkley.

“The Round Haug of Rebound” said on “The Steam Room” that the possibility of holding the white house visit because of Trump was “stupid.”
“I don’t care who the president is,” Barkley said through terrible advertising. “He is the president of the United States. It has bothered me for the past 10 years they are like, ‘Well, I do not go because this determined person is president.’ Dude, it is the president of the United States.

“Although I disagree with President Trump about some things, if I met him, I would still give him the respect and dignity he deserves. We may disagree, but it bothering me when these teams don’t want to go to the white house. I’m just disappointed … We got so split. Where did we get to a country when we like, ‘We don’t go to the white house we don’t like who is there.’ It’s just stupid.
Tensions between the president and athletes seemed to simmer since he started his second period.
Eagles jumped over the white house visit during his presidency over tensions about players kneeling during the national anthem.
