Trump at UFC 314: Dominick Reyes paid tribute to the president after cow

UFC star Dominick Reyes quickly did work with Nikita Krylov on Saturday night in a slightly heavyweight match on UFC 314 and paid tribute to President Donald Trump.

With about 2:39 back in the first round, Krylov leaned forward to Jab Reyes. He leaned too far ahead and was caught. Reyes hit him with a left, and Krylov folded. He got Krylov on the ground with Hammer Fist’s twice before the referee came over and stopped the match.

Reyes then ran to Trump, sitting with Dana White, Elon Musk and others near the cage, pointing to the president and bowing.

It was Reyes’ third win in a row. He knocked Dustin Jacoby out in June last year and then Anthony Smith in December. Prior to that, he was on a four-match’s losing series with losses to Jon Jones, Jan Blachowicz, Jiri Prochhazka and Ryan Spann. Emotions ran high after the match.

It sucked, “said a tear -warder Reyes about his losing row,” but my faith in the Lord Jesus Christ, my belief in myself and my family, it kept me ground, it kept me here. I’m still here fighting. There is everything that goes on in your life, guys, guys, just by fighting. Never give up. You go down, come up again. Just move on. Just there is a brighter days when Jesus is left. “

Reyes said at his press conference after match that it was a “dream-coming match.”

“I had to represent America in front of my president,” Reyes said via MMA Junkie. “He messed up for me, and then he told me how proud of me he is that I represent the country. When I was a toddler, I would always meet the president. It has always been something I wanted and I finally had to do it as an athlete and it goes down like another night I will remember the rest of my life.”

The president received a violent ovation as he entered the Kaseya Center.

“Something legendary,” Trump said of roar from the crowd. “It was legendary. It’s a great honor to have that kind of ovation, really because it says we’re doing a good job. If we didn’t do a good job, we would get the opposite.”
