President Donald Trump reiterated that girls and women “not” will compete against transient athletes during his starting speech at West Point on Saturday.
Trump signed an executive order 5 February that prohibits biological boys and men to compete in girls and women’s sports.
While talking to 1,002 candidates, Trump revised the subject again.

“We don’t want men in women’s sports if it’s ok,” he said. I mean, I don’t want to have to tackle (quarterback) Bryson (daily) as a man. But I don’t think many women will tackle him. I don’t think so. How crazy is it? Men who play in women’s sports. How crazy is it? So ridiculous.
Several states have defied Trump’s order, resulting in federal title IX studies. The Department of Agriculture also ended temporarily federal funding to the state Maine, but the funding was restored by a federal judge.
Maine Gov. Janet Mills and Trump entered a very published spit shortly after the order was signed.
Earlier this month, a school district in Washington, a blue state, voted to keep trans athletes out of girls sports. The ruling defiantly defies a policy from the Washington Interscholastic Activity Association (WIAA), which was adopted in 2007, which allows trans -fun students to participate on the basis of their gender identity.
In May, a trans athlete competed in a girls cross -country championship in the state and won.

Trump delivered a similar view while Trump spoke with candidates at the University of Alabama earlier this month.
ONE New York Times/Ipsos Survey Found the vast majority of Americans, including a majority of Democrats, do not think transnry athletes should be allowed to compete in women’s sports.
Of the 2,128 people who participated, 79% biological men who identify themselves as women said should not be allowed to participate in women’s sports. Of the 1,025 people who identified themselves as Democrats or inclined Democrat, 67%said transkon athletes should not be allowed to compete with women.
