After previously referring to Wayne Gretzky as “Governor of Canada,” President Donald Trump has declared the NHL legend of a “free agent.”
Justin Trudeau announced his plan resign as Canada’s Prime Minister Earlier this year, Trump prompted Gretzky if he would be the country’s “governor” after Trump called on Canada to become the “51st state.”
However, Trump said in a truth social post on Wednesday that his “friend” is “something ‘low key’ about Canada that remains a separate country, rather than becoming a expensive and beautiful 51st state.”

So “the big one” is now on the market.
“Wayne Gretzky is an amazing guy! They call him, ‘the big one,’ and he is Booming, “Trump,” trumpet on the trumpet on the economic economy, a free and power Wednesday.
“Wayne and Janet, his wonderful wife, love Canada, and they only had to support Canada, and what else does the Canadian people and governor Justin Trudeau, happy. He is the greatest Canadian of them all, and so I make him a ‘free agent’ because I don’t want anyone in Canada to say anything bad about him.
“He supports Canada, as it is that he should, even though it is not almost as good as it can be as part of the largest and most powerful country in the world, The Good Ole ‘USA!”

While talking to journalists at Mar-A-Lago last month, Trump said Gretzky was “not too interested” in becoming Canada’s “Governor,” but “he would probably have wished for government.”
Gretzky attended a victory for Trump’s election of 2024 after Trump defeated Vice President Kamala Harris. Gretzky was discovered wearing a maga hat shortly afterwards and participated in Trump’s initiation.
