President Donald Trump golfed with Tiger Woods Sunday morning at the Trump International Golf Club in Florida before his expected visit to New Orleans for the Super Bowl Lix, a white house official told Pakinomist.

Trump is expected to go to Caesar’s Superdome for the game between Kansas City Chiefs and Philadelphia Eagles. The president’s interview with Pakinomist Channel’s Bret Baier will also be released at 1 p.m. 15 et.

Trump and Woods have become close over the years. Woods announced his mother’s death earlier this week.

“It is with heartfelt sadness that I want to share that my dear mother, Kuldida Woods, died early this morning,” wrote Woods in a post of X. “My mother was a nature power all her own, her spirit was simply undeniable. .

“Thank you all for your support, prayers and privacy at this difficult time for me and my family. Love you mother.”

Trump offered his condolance to the legendary golfer. Kuldida Woods was with his son in 2019 when he received the presidential medal of freedom from Trump.

“I was just informed that Tiger Woods’ wonderful mother, Kuldida, died – she has gone into green fairways!” Trump wrote in a post. “Kuldida Woods was a great influence on Tiger and gave him a lot of his strength and brilliance. Melania and I send our love and prayers to Tiger and his incredible family!”

It’s unclear if Woods will be on the game too.
