President Donald Trump mocked Democrats for their ongoing support of trans athletes in women’s and girls’ sports during Thursday’s meeting with NATO leader Mark Rutte. Trump even suggested he hopes the party continues to push its attitude towards the question to hurt their future choices.

While criticizing Democrats for continuing their public arguments for supporting Trans -Inclusion, Trump suggested that 95% of Americans be against it and Republicans should take advantage of their opponent’s attitude to the question.

“I saw this morning where one of them is pretty well known. One argues and fights like crazy for men, [Democrats] To continue doing it because I don’t think they can win a race, ”Trump said.

“I’m saying Republicans, ‘don’t bring that topic right now because there’s no choice right now. But about a week before the election, pick it up because we can’t lose.”

It was the second day in a row that Trump mocked Democrats on the issue, after making similar comments during Wednesday’s meeting with Ireland’s Prime Minister Micheál Martin.

“Who would give men the opportunity to play in women’s sports? And they are still struggling with it, they are still … It has to be a 95% problem,” Trump said. “But they are on TV this morning, I see this person, a Democrat, says, ‘We should be right … No, no. Men shouldn’t be allowed – they are hurting women. They hurt women very badly, they hurt women … and they are also degrading women. But who wants these things? Everything is transgender. Everyone violates.

Trump’s claim that it is a “95% problem” is not supported by data. However, there are data that at least the majority of Americans, including most Democrats, are against trans -cluttering in women’s sports.

ONE New York Times/Ipsos Survey Found that the vast majority of Americans, including a majority of Democrats, do not think transking athletes should be allowed to compete in women’s sports, as 79% of participants said biological men who identify as women should not be allowed in women’s sports. Of the participants who identified themselves as Democrats, 67%said transnry athletes should not be allowed to compete with women.

According to one Gallup voting Last year, nearly 70% of Americans said biological men should not be allowed to compete in women’s sports.

Further data suggests that the issue affected voters’ decisions in the November election.

ONE National Exit Poll Made by the affected women for America Legislative Action Committee found that 70% of moderate voters saw the issue of “Donald Trump’s resistance to trans -bright boys and men playing girls and women’s sports and by transient boys and men using girls and women’s bathrooms” as important to them.

In addition, 6% said it was the most important question of all, while 44% said it was “very important.”

Trump took advantage of the question and took a firm attitude to ban trans athletes in women’s and girls’ sports as a key campaign problem in 2024. His campaign ad, which contained the slogan “Kamala is for those/those Donald Trump is for you” was hailed as the most effective ad of the election.

Trump gave well his campaign promise to issue a ban as he signed “Keeping Men Out of Women’s Sports” executive order on February 5th. However, many democratic states have since jerked the order and still lets trans athletes compete with women.

In response, Trump’s Administration has launched investigation against four of these states – California, Minnesota, Massachusetts and Maine – over potential violations of title IX for their continued defense over the order.

The Trump’s Department of Health and Human Services has already decided that Maine has violated title IX, while the Ministry of Agriculture has already cut millions into financing for eight Maine Universities.

The Republican-Controlled Congress tried to set a stricter precedent to enforce a national trans-athlete ban in women’s sports with the protection of women and girls in the sports law, but it was filibusted in the Senate after it did not receive support from the Democrats.

Conservative activist Riley Gaines has promised to help Trump use the strategy to use the issue against the Democrats who blocked the bill as she has said she will work to help put every Democrat who voted against the bill in the Midfere elections in 2026 and 2028.
