Trump Memecoin’s 85% Weekly Surgery Turns Tossing Democrats’ Call for forgery, Massive Locking

Trump, Memecoin tied to US President Donald Trump, has increased by approx. 16% over the past 24 hours, even when democratic lawmakers cite the president’s commitment to the token as potential reasons for forgery and after a massive unlocking earlier this month.

At a town hall on Friday, Senator Jon Ossoff (D-GA) pointed out to the crypto project, offering its top holders an invitation to a dinner event with President Trump, and called it a clear case of selling access to the presidency, NBC News reports.

“When the incumbent president of the United States sells access to what is effective payments directly to him. There is no doubt that it rises to the level of an impossible violation,” Ossify said.

US Senators Adam Schiff (D-California) and Elizabeth Warren (D-Mass.) Also sent a letter on April 25 to the US Office of Government Ethics, asking for an investigation to decide whether President Trump violated federal ethical rules by inviting top investors.

The claims stem from a message that a private dinner will be held on May 22, with the top 220 Trump Memecoin holders to meet with the US president.

Still, the Trump token has continued to rise. Memecoin rose over 70% after the event was announced and has already increased by 85% over the past seven days.

The climb came even after the token saw a massive $ 320 million unlocked earlier this month, which significantly inflated its circulating supply. In less than three months, the Trump token is set to endure an additional unlock of 25.1% of its current circulating supply, at the time of writing, worth almost $ 780 million.

Despite the recent climb, the token is still down more than 77% from its all time over $ 70, as it saw shortly after launch. Its subsequent pricing led to an estimated $ 2 billion investor loss.
