Washington: US President Donald Trump issued an executive order Wednesday, which introduced an additional 25% duty on goods from India and said the country directly or indirectly imported Russian oil.

The tariff is set to take effect in three weeks and will be added on top of a separate 25% Tariff, which comes into force on Thursday.

It maintains exceptions to objects targeted by separate sector -specific tasks, such as steel and aluminum, and categories that could be affected as pharmaceutical substances.
