Washington: US President Donald Trump said Wednesday that his administration will soon announce a 25% duty on the import of the European Union, reported Reuters.
“We have made a decision and we will announce it very soon and it will be 25% in general, and it will be on cars and all things,” Trump told journalists during a meeting in his cabinet.
The EU has a 10% duty on passenger cars, four times the interest rate for the US passenger duty of 2.5%. US officials have also complained about European value growth taxes of at least 17.5%.
