Trump says he will forgive Pete Rose

President Donald Trump said in a truth social post late Friday night that he will “sign a complete pardon” by MLB’s hit king, Pete Rose.

Rose died last year before he ever saw himself doing Hall of Fame; Authors have never been given the opportunity to vote for him as the Baseball Writers Association of America and Hall of Fame followed with MLB’s life for Rose in 1989 for games.

“Major League Baseball did not have the courage or decency to put the late, big, Pete Rose, also known as ‘Charlie Hustle’, into the Baseball Hall of Fame. Now he is dead, will never experience the tension of being chosen, even if he was a much better player than most of those who made it, and can only be named poshumøst. Trump posted.

“In any case, over the next few weeks, I will sign a complete pardon of Pete Rose, who should not have been games on baseball, but only bet on his team, Baseball Hall of Fame!”

Major League Baseball itself does not control who comes into the Hall of Fame; The baseball writers are originally voting, while other selections to get players on the way down the road is made by the hall itself, not the league.

Rose died last September at the age of 83 of hypertensive and atherosclerotic heart -vessel disease.

Rose broke out with his hometown Cincinnati RedsThe team he played 19 of his 24 seasons with, three he also served as acting manager, in 1963, and he continued to make league history while securing three World Series titles along the way.

The nickname “Charlie Hustle” for his merciless drive when he was on the diamond was Rose League MVP in 1973, a 17-time all-star, three-time batting title, Rookie of the Year and World Series MVP.

Despite his 4,256 career hits, he became a polarizing figure when the news of his game on baseball shook the sports world.

Rose tried to apply for reintroduction to the Major League Baseball on several occasions, but was always denied. MLB Commissioner Rob Manfred refused one in 2015 and said Rose did not take responsibility for his actions and did not understand the harm he had caused while betting on the game.

Rose applied for reintroduction in 2020 and 2022, especially with legalized sports betting that is happening across the country. However, Manfred both rejected requests and pointed to Veteran’s Committee for all Hall of Fame discussions on Rose. Manfred also shot any speculation about Rose’s reinstatement in 2023, when the league had partnerships with sports books.

Although he is not in the Baseball Hall of Fame, the reds introduced into their own Hall of Fame in 2016 and withdrew at No. 14. He appeared several performances in MLB Ballparks in recent years before his death.
