Washington: President Donald Trump on Sunday said US air strikes had “completely and completely wiped out” Iran’s most important nuclear enrichment facilities and warned of several attacks to come if Tehran is not seeking peace.
In a television address to the Nation from the White House after the United States joined the Israeli air campaign against Tehran, Trump called the United States attacked a “spectacular military success.”
Trump had previously stunned the world by announcing on social media that US aircraft had hit Iran’s Fordow -Nuclear enrichment plus plus Natanz and Isfahan facilities.
But the fresh US military confusion comes despite Trump’s promises to avoid another “Forever War” in the Middle East – Iran has promised to retaliate against US forces in the region if Washington got involved.
“Iran’s important nuclear enrichment facilities have been completely and completely wiped out. Iran […] Must now make peace, ”Trump said.
“If they do not, future attacks will be far greater, and much easier,” added Trump, who was flanked by Vice President JD Vance, defense secretary Pete Hegeth and State Secretary Marco Rubio to his address on Saturday night to US audience.
Trump previously said in his truth’s social place that a “full payload of bombs” was dropped on the underground facility at Fordow and described it as the “primary place.”
Trump added that “All planes are safe on their way home. Congratulations to our great American warriors.”
Iranian confirmation
Earlier Saturday, there were reports that US B-2 bomber-as carries so-called “Bunker Buster” bomber-Var on the way out of the United States across the Pacific.
Trump did not say what kind of American aircraft or ammunition was involved.
Iranian media confirmed that part of the Fordow plant as well as the Isfahan and Natanz nuclear locations were attacked.
Trump spoke to Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu after the attacks, while the United States also gave Key Ally Israel a “heads up” before the strikes, a senior official told AFP.
Netanyahu congratulated Trump with the strikes and said “America has been really unmatched”.
Trump had said on Thursday that he would decide “within two weeks” whether to take part in Israel’s campaign – but the decision came a long way.
The US president had also increased his rhetoric against Iran in recent days and repeated its insistence that it could never have a nuclear weapon.
Israel and Iran have traded wave after the wave of devastating strikes since Israel launched his air campaign on June 13 and said Tehran was on the verge of developing a nuclear weapon.
‘Outrageous’
In reacting to the US strikes, Iranian foreign mini -Mininster Seyed Abbas Araghchi to X was to slam Washington’s action, which describes it as “scandalous” and warned of “eternal consequences”.
“The United States has committed a serious violation of the UN Charter, International Law and NPT by attacking Iran’s peaceful nuclear installations,” he said in a statement of X.
“Iran reserves every opportunity to defend its sovereignty, interest and people,” he warned.
Iran’s President Masoud Pezeshkian had warned earlier Saturday of a “more devastating” retaliation, Israeli’s nine-day bomb campaign was to continue and said Iran would not stop its nuclear program “In any case.”
On Saturday, Israel said it had attacked Isfahan for the second time, with the UN’s nuclear watchdog, reporting that a centrifuge making workshop had been hit.
