President Donald Trump recently met with members of the PGA Tour, including Tiger Woods, in the effort to get tour and life golf to finally strike a deal after about two years of discussion.
PGA Commissioner Jay Monahan recently said the trip “prayed” Trump “to get involved for the benefit of the game, the good of the country and for all the countries involved.”
Adam Scott, a member of the PGA Tour’s Player Advisory Board, was at the meeting and repeated the commissioner’s feelings about their meeting where he credited Tiger Woods for kick-start.

“It all was really positive … It’s just a positive thing that the president of the United States is such a lover of Golf Game and understands some of the challenges that the professional game is facing at the moment …” Telled Scott to the golf channel at Torrey Pines this week prior to Genesis Invitational. “He is a lover of the game and can hopefully be very helpful to make a decision about the professional game and help everyone get ahead.”
“It’s pretty easy to tie him to the golf game. He is passionate about what he owns several golf properties, amazing destinations around the world, and he has a relationship with Saudi Arabia, the Public Investment Fund, and he is a fan of PGA Tour too , certainly a fan of Tiger Woods, as we all are, ”Scott added. “Given that this is bound in government’s faith, he can be very helpful.”
