“It was a great evening. Meaningful,” manager Aaron Boone told journalists after the game. “Captain [Aaron Judge] Just talked about it, just having us out there kind of all, first for the moment of silence, then back out there for the hymn, and just the hummer that New York City can create, you definitely felt it tonight. Obviously, the president is here, just an extra layer. September baseball against a really good club. A special evening to be a part of, and hopefully none of us took it for granted. “

Trump met with Yankees in the clubhouse and called referee a “fantastic player.” The reigning al MVP (and the favorite to win again this year) responded by belting a home drive in each of his first two bats and tying Joe Dimaggio to fourth place at Yankees’ constantly home runs.

“It was meaningful to see your superstar go out there and do it. And I know what it meant for Aaron. You know how attaching and how important the ‘new’ is that he carries in Pinstripes. What it is to represent this city now as one of the faces of the city as a sports figure now, it’s a lot to him, and it’s not lost on him. Like like is a little extra extra extra, “is a small extra specse specse,” is a small extra specse spect specse, “specse specse specse specse specse specse specse specse specse specse specse specse specse specse specse specse specse specse specse specse specse specse specse specse specse specse specse special special there” special

But the skipper sounded like the wait was worth it.

“That was great. I was there with Carlos [Rodon] and Gerrit [Cole] As he walked into the doors of our clubhouse. It’s a little scary, you’re a little nervous, but he was big, “Boone said.” He is great in that setting, really NACN, took some pictures, shaking hands. And then we walked him into the most important area where the players were and they got to greet him.
