A proposal from Green Bay Packers, which would have effectively banned Tush Push, could not receive enough votes from NFL owners on Wednesday.

Turh Push will continue to be part of the game through at least the 2025 season, according to Fox Sports.

When team owners considered in the morning, Philadelphia Eagles team owner Jeffrey Lurie allegedly brought Jason Kelce into the meeting to explain why Tung -push should be stored in the game. Eagles have been most successful with the play for the past few years, and Kelce’s input was apparently enough for owners to give approval of the ban.

Packers’ official rule change proposal would have banned “an offensive player to push a teammate who was set up directly behind the snapper and receives Snap, immediately at Snap.” The proposal added that a penalty would be assessed on any offensive player who violated the rule.

The original vote was to take place in April, but it was placed in May.

Supporters of the play and those who oppose it presented both strong arguments while the league expressed concern for security.

Rich McKay, chairman of the NFL competition committee, said in April that the problems go beyond security because there was not enough data to say if it is a dangerous game. The league has said that no injuries have been reported from Tush Push.

Washington Commanders Linebacker Frankie Luvu called the piece cheaply.

It seems that teams will have to adopt the old saying – if you don’t like it, find out a better way to stop it.
