President Recep Tayyip Erdogan from Turkey is ready to arrive in Pakistan tomorrow for a two-day visit to invitation from Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif. Accompanied by a high -level delegation, including key ministers, senior officials and business leaders, aims President Erdogan’s visit to elaborate on the long -standing bilateral ties between the two nations.
During the visit, Prime Minister Sharif and President Erdogan co-chair on the 7th session in Pakistan-Turkey-Strategic Cooperation Council (HLSCC). The session is expected to end with a joint statement and signing of several important agreements and the Memorandum Sum (Mous).
In addition, the two leaders will hold a joint press conference and President Erdogan will attend bilateral meetings with both Prime Minister Sharif and President Asif Ali Zardari. Erdogan will also address Pakistan-Turkey Business and Investment Forum, where prominent investors and business leaders from both sides will discuss further strengthening financial ties.
HLSCC, the highest decision forum between Pakistan and Turkey, covers a wide range of sectors, including trade, investment, energy, defense, agriculture, tourism and education. So far, six sessions have been held in the Council, where the latest will take place in Islamabad in February 2020. The upcoming visit and discussions are expected to create improved cooperation and a more robust partnership between the two countries.
