Islamabad:
Turkish Defense Minister Yaşar Güler has hailed Pakistan Air Force’s extraordinary performance under the leadership of air manager Marshal Zaheer Ahmed Baber Sidhu in the four-day war with India, praising its operational emergency preparedness and resolute defense of national sovereignty.
A high -level delegation led by Güler urged Sidhu air manager during a visit to the air headquarters in Islamabad on Wednesday, the military’s media wing reported.
According to Inter-Services Public Relations (ISPR), the meeting covered discussions on developing regional security dynamics, progress of ongoing defense cooperation and prospects of future collaboration in new warfare.
During the meeting, the commander of the air staff highlighted the sustained fraternal bonds between Pakistan and Turkiye and emphasized the general hopes and strategic convergence that bind the two nations.
He confirmed the Pakistan Air Force’s (PAF) steadfast decision to further strengthen bilateral cooperation in advanced education and aerospace technologies.
The statement added that both dignitarian agreed on the creation of dedicated joint working groups to streamline and accelerate progress across different sectors of mutual interest.
Güler highlighted the long-standing brotherly bond between Turkiye and Pakistan and conveyed Turkiye’s serious desire to strengthen bilateral defense relationships through deeper cooperation on industrial-to-industry.
In particular, he emphasized the need to explore joint ventures in groundbreaking domains, including disruptive technologies, advanced Avionik and unmanned air systems.

The statement also mentioned that the Turkish Defense Minister expressed the appreciation of PAF’s continued support in the pilot exchange program, which he described as an important initiative to promote professional growth and operational understanding between the two air forces.
“Both dignitaries endorsed to end the modalities of improved training collaboration and confirmed their strong commitment to expanding the scope and extent of common bilateral and multilateral air exercises,” it added.
The visit of the Turkish Defense Minister of the Air Headquarters in Islamabad reflects both nations’ common obligation to improve strategic cooperation, solidify defense ties and promote lasting institutional relations between the armed forces in Pakistan and Turkey, ISPR said.
A day earlier, LT General Wang Gang Gang rose Chief of China’s People’s Liberation Army Air Force (Plaaf), LT General Wang, PAF management for his professional sharpness and strategic foresight, paid tribute to PAF’s exemplary performance during recent conflict with India.
