The NFL owners made the discussion about whether to ban tushes tush until May, but the lecture on the decision was still warm among players and fans during the high season.
Former NFL star linebacker Anthony Barr said in a recent conversation that the ban on the play would cause a snowball effect in the league.

“It’s a smooth slope,” the former Minnesota Vikings linebacker told TMZ Sports. “You ban a spectacle, what’s next?”
Green Bay Packers presented a proposal that would effectively ban the play that became famous thanks to Philadelphia Eagles and their success with it.
Packers’ official rule change proposal would “ban an offensive player from pushing to a teammate who was set up directly behind the snapper and receiving Snap, immediately at Snap.” The proposal added that a penalty would be assessed on any offensive player who violated the rule.
But at the end of the annual meeting, the discussion of banning it was postponed. Supporters of the play and those who oppose it presented both strong arguments while the league expressed concern for security.

Rich McKay, chairman of the NFL competition committee, said the problems go beyond security because there is not enough data to say if it is a dangerous game. The league has said no damage has been reported over Tush -push.
