- More Galaxy Buds 4/Galaxy Buds 4 Pro images have leaked ahead of Unpacked
- Images show the new earphone design and charging case
- …and there’s no getting around the striking resemblance to Apple’s AirPods
Samsung’s 2026 Galaxy Unpacked event is just around the corner, and while the company hasn’t officially confirmed that the Galaxy Buds 4 and Galaxy Buds 4 Pro will arrive on February 25, I think we can all agree that it’s highly likely.
The tech giant recently shared a teaser to Amazon India’s website with the Galaxy Unpacked event details as well as a sketched image of the upcoming Galaxy Buds series, suggesting the company will unveil them alongside the Samsung Galaxy S26 series and Galaxy Z Trifold. In the build-up to the event, we’ve come across a number of leaks teasing design upgrades and new features, but nothing is set in stone when it comes to rumours.
Based on the diagram shared to Amazon India (see below), we can hazard a guess that Samsung is definitely ditching the prismatic stem design from the Galaxy Buds 3, but the company never reveals anything until it’s ready. But recently leaked images of dummy models may have already done that on their behalf – and the comparisons to AirPods are flying in.
The images of the Galaxy Buds 4 dummy models come from the X account TechTalkTV, which shared a post with four images of the final version of the Galaxy Buds 4 and Buds 4 Pro models. According to the leaker, the dummy models are non-functional devices that Samsung sends to retailers for display purposes.
Seeing the Galaxy Buds 4 in all their glory, and not in diagram form, makes it all seem real now, and it’s also reassuring to see that most of our expectations have been met.

Shall I compare you to a set of AirPods?
You might also not be too over the moon to hear that Samsung is abandoning the Galaxy Bud 3’s blade light – a valuable design factor for visibility. However, we always expected the new flat stem design, which may actually be one of Samsung’s most sensible redesign choices given the issues users face using audio controls on the angular Galaxy Buds 3. But this is where people are drawing the AirPods comparisons.
Take the Buds 4 without a tip and the Buds 4 Pro with a silicone tip, paired with its new flat shaft: it’s hard to ignore the very obvious visual similarities between Samsung’s new Galaxy Buds series and Apple’s classic AirPods design, which we’ve known and loved since its inception 10 years ago.
However, Samsung knows exactly what it’s doing – why else would the company add a silver metal strip to the stem? Maybe it’s as simple as a new design choice on Samsung’s part, but it could be a smart tactic to minimize comparisons with Apple.
