- Samsung Galaxy S26 Ultra could have the same number of megapixel as last year but at least one upgraded sensor
- The Middle Galaxy S26 model may have a new 50MP ultra-covering camera
- Code names for the Samsung Galaxy S26 series is also leaked
Usually when a new model of a phone is launched, some aspects are far more upgraded than others, and in the case of the Samsung Galaxy S26 series, the cameras could be one of the company’s main focus, with a new report describing several possible sensor improvements.
According to Winfuture, the Samsung Galaxy S26 Ultra will have a 200MP head sensor, such as going by another recent camera leakage will be a new Sony-made with a larger sensor.
Winfuture adds that as with the Samsung Galaxy S25 Ultra, there will also be a 50MP telecom camera (probably with 5x optical zoom) and an ultra-camera whose specifications do not know yet. We assume that there will also be a 3x tele as there is on the Galaxy S25 Ultra, but it is not mentioned here.
The same source also mentions the middle model in the Galaxy S26 line-which could either be the Samsung Galaxy S26 Plus or Samsung Galaxy S26 Edge-there claims this has a 50MP ultra-covering camera. Both Samsung Galaxy S25 Plus and Samsung Galaxy S25 Edge have 12MP ultra-covering cameras, so whatever this is a sequel to, it would be a sensor upgrade.
So if these tips are right, at least one sensor of at least two Galaxy S26 models improves.
The next paradigm
The site does not have any information about the base Samsung Galaxy S26 cameras, but it has encountered code names that claim that the Galaxy S26 is the codename NPA1, the middle model – which in turn can be the S26 Plus or the S26 edge – is the codename NPA2, and Samsung Galaxy S26 Ultra is the codenname NPA3.
Given that the S25 series became the code name PA1, PA2 and PA3, with ‘Pa’ Bit Standing for ‘Paradigm’, the site speculates that these new code names stand for ‘Next Paradigm’.
In any case, although there are no links, Winfuture claims that it has achieved these code names and this camera information from publicly available databases where the lists can be clearly attributed to Samsung or its suppliers, so there is a great chance that these details are accurate.
We had to find out early next year as it is probably when the Samsung Galaxy S26 series is launched.
