Pakistani security forces killed nine terrorists in two separate intelligence -based operations (IBOs) in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa (KP) Province, according to Inter -Services Public Relations (ISPR).
The first operation performed in the Mohmand district followed the detention reports indicating the presence of militants. During the operation, militants engaged in their location, resulting in the deaths of seven terrorists.
However, two Pakistani soldiers, Havildar Muhammad Zahid, 37, from Malakand, and Sepoy Aftab Ali Shah, 26, from Chitral, were killed in the clash.
ISPR paid tribute to the fallen soldiers and said they “did the ultimate sacrifice and embraced Shahadat” (martyrdom) in the duty of duty.
In a separate operation in the Maddi area of Dera Ismail Khan’s district, the security forces employed a firefighter with militants and kills two more terrorists.
ISPR reported that weapons and ammunition were recovered from the militants who are believed to be involved in multiple terrorist activities.
Ongoing sanitary operations are underway to clear remaining terrorists from the region.
ISPR confirmed the obligation of security forces to eradicate terrorism and said, “The security forces in Pakistan are determined to wipe out the threat of terror from the country.”
