The security forces on Saturday neutralized two terrorists, including a Tehreek-E-Taliban Pakistan (TTP) Commander during an intelligence-based operation (IBO) in the District Tank of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa (KP). The TTP operator has been identified as commander Hanzala.
During IBO, the forces also rounded off a wounded terrorist who revealed important details of the terrorist network operating in the tank – its hiding place and operatives – leading to a search operation. Authorities have increased security in the district and established the stack at the district’s entry and starting points.
Separately foiled a terrorist attempt to attack a police station in the Gambella area of District Lakki. About 10-12 terrorists had taken a position in an area around the Gambella police station during the small hours on Saturday. However, due to the quick response of the police, the terrorist had to flee.
However, terrorists managed to detonate a remote-controlled improvised explosion device (IED) in the Sorbat Nalai area of Khar Tehsil from District Bajuar. A resident of the area, Subhan Ullah son of Fazl Subhan, sustained minor injuries as a result of the explosion.
The wounded was immediately taken to District Headquarters Hospital in Khar. Authorities later abolished the explosion site and began investigation.
Meanwhile, Rakhmeen Khan, a Vice President of Police (DSP), who had been injured in a terrorist attack in North Waziristan was earlier this month, after his injuries on Saturday.
Rakhmeen was critically wounded in an attack in Tullay Khulas Police Station’s Jurisdiction, Lower South Waziristan on July 4 and had been undergoing Mission Hospital Peshawar.
His funeral prayer was offered with full state capitals at Malik Saad Shaheed Police Lines.
The funeral was attended by a large number of police officers and staff, including KP Inspector of Police General (IGP) Zulfiqar Hameed, CCPO Qasim Ali Khan, SSP operations Masood Ahmad, SSP Investigation Noor Jamal and SP Headquarters Ali Gohar, as well as the martyr’s family members.
IGP HAMEED and CCPO Khan put flower wreaths on the martyr’s coffin and asked for an increase in his rank below. IGP offered compassion for the surviving family and paid tribute to the courage and duty of duty shown by the deceased DSP Rukhmeen Khan.
