The United Arab Emirates Deputy Prime Minister and Foreign Minister Sheikh Abdullah Bin Zayed Al Nahyan arrives in Pakistan today (Sunday) on a two-day official visit, according to a statement from the foreign office.
The visit is part of the efforts to improve the bilateral relations between Pakistan and UAE, described by officials as “deeply rooted and brotherly” Express News reported on quote for.
According to the Foreign Office, Sheikh Abdullah will hold far -reaching conversations with Pakistan’s Deputy Prime Minister and Foreign Minister Ishaq Dar.
Discussions will cover trade and investment, energy cooperation, regional security and people-to-people exchanges. The Emirati minister is also scheduled to meet Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif.
Officials say the meeting will confirm the two nations’ common vision of peace and prosperity in the region.
“This high -level visit reflects the common desire to strengthen cooperation in all areas of mutual interest,” the Foreign Office said in a statement, adding that regional and global development will also be on the agenda.
UAE is one of Pakistan’s leading trading partners in the golf region, and officials say the visit will help promote new opportunities for financial commitment and strategic coordination.
Pakistan and the United Arab Emirates (UAE) have expanded their financial cooperation in recent months through a series of agreements aimed at strengthening trade, investment and infrastructure development.
In February, during the visit of the Abu Dhabi crown prince in Islamabad, both countries signed several agreements covering sectors such as mining, railways, banking and infrastructure. These agreements are seen as part of broader efforts to elaborate on bilateral financial commitment.
Earlier in January last year, Pakistan and UAE agreed upon agreements exceeded $ 3 billion, focusing on rail development, economic zones and major infrastructure projects.
