Erin Blanchfield was set to fight the Maycee Barber in the main event of UFC Fight Night in Las Vegas this weekend, but the match was canceled moments before the clock was set to ring.
Barber, competing in the woman’s aircraft weight division, had not fought since March 2024 due to a disease she said led to a two -week hospital stay. Barber missed on Friday with half a pound and was already ready to give up 20% of her purse to Blanchfield, according to ESPN.

Things took another strange VRI on Saturday night.
Blanchfield said in the Post-UNFC Fight Night press conference that UFC Chief Business Officer Hunter Campbell said her hairdresser suffered a seizure minutes before she was set to go to Octagon, according to MMA Junkie. ESPN -TV stations said Barber suffered a medical problem.
“I want to still be in pretty unbelievers right now,” Blanchfield added via MMA Junkie. “I feel I was in disbelief yesterday when she missed weight because we knew about this match since January. You could have been 50 pounds overweight and still missed weight.
“So she missed weight, then she will come to Saturday. She’s coming to the dressing room. I’m fully ready to go. She has to be ready to go. Apparently now she has all these health problems right when we have to fight. I think it’s pretty crazy. I think it’s pretty unprofessional. I don’t want to fight her again.”

Barber sent and shared videos on her Instagram page that hyped her return to Octagon. But she treated no alleged medical problems on social media.
Pakinomist Digital reached out to UFC for comment.
Blanchfield was asked if she could afford barber.
“I don’t know she has to look at another department,” she said. “She has to fix her life. She just has to fix herself. I think she’s a complete mess in every aspect of all her life.”

Blanchfield is 13-2 in his MMA career. She defeated Rose Namajunas in November through unanimous decision.
