It’s been almost four years since Conor McGregor last came into UFC Octagon.
McGregor fought Dustin Poirier on July 10, 2021, about six months after a loss to him, but broke his legs, causing a stop in the fight.
Irishman was intended to return to Michael Chandler at UFC 303, but the match was surprisingly canceled because McGregor broke the toe.

This cancellation was over a year ago and McGregor has still not come in the ring.
But UFC legend Georges St. Pierre hopes McGregor can do the comeback once and for all.
“I hope that. When Conor fights, it’s good for the sport, good for everyone,” St. Pierre for Pakinomist Digital at Fanatics party in New York this past weekend. “He brought more eyeballs than anyone else in the sport. In terms of promotion, he is the biggest name in mixed martial arts of all time. And I just hope he will come back – if he will. If it makes him happy and that is really what he wants to do, he should do it.”
Back in April, McGregor went to social media to state that he would only return if the match was in a stadium.

Dana White has previously expressed her resistance to hosting matches in stadiums. In September, before the UFC 306, White made it clear that hosting a match at a stadium would come at the expense of the fan experience due to the production challenges.
“When I go to a live event on Saturdays, I want the best internal experiences to have, and I want the same experience on TV,” he told the media during a press conference. “I just don’t understand why I have to do a stadium when I, for what? I can get more people in there? It just doesn’t interest me.
“What interests me is to put the best live event. People always talk about how fast this sport grew -the live event is part of the reason the sport grew like that.”

UFC 306 was hosted at the sphere in Las vegas, But White said at the time that it would probably be the last event of its kind.
