The British government introduced a new crime bill on Tuesday, which, if adopted, aims to help law enforcement authorities to raise money from crypto criminals.

The Home Office’s crime and policy proposals introduce measures that indicate how to appreciate broken crypto property – in the event that the law enforcement authorities demanded that it be destroyed if it cannot be sold – plus, conditions for how courts can obtain funds and extend the country’s crown management power with regard to confiscation order.
“This bill will strengthen the ability of the criminal system to pursue those who have benefited from criminal activity,” said a similar fact sheet.
This bill builds the Financial Crime and Business Transparency Act, which was enforced in 2023 and allowed the police to freeze and grab crypto faster.
