Tensions flared under the Los Angeles Dodgers and the San Diego Padres game Thursday.
While Padres was able to secure a 5-3 win in the last game of a four-game series against their southern California rivals, Fernando became Tatis Jr. plunked in the ninth lap.
The incident caused both teams’ benches to clear. Both leaders were thrown out of the game. Shohei Ohtani was then hit by a pitch at the bottom of the lap.
But another moment that involved Dodgers jug yoshinobu Yamamoto earlier in the game also triggered significantly.

Yamamoto beat Padre’s right Fielder Bryce Johnson and San Diego Catcher Martin Maldonado in the third round. The Dodgers star continued to throw strikes in the first two places he threw to Tatis.

But Yamamoto’s third pitch turned out to be controversial. If this pitch had been called a strike, Yamamoto would have achieved the rare farm of an immaculate inning. However, the home plate ruled that the pitch in question was a ball – not a strike.

Yamamoto ultimately ended the lap by striking the page, but he came under the etching of his name in MLB History Books.
Many spectators argued that Yamamotos Pitch landed well within the strike zone. The game’s broadcast crew was among those who were surprised by referee Mark Hudson’s decision.

“Oh no! Marvin Hudson cost him an immaculate game!” Broadcaster Joe Davis said immediately after realizing that Hudson called a ball instead of a strike.
“It wasn’t even limit or anything …. it was cross -border middle ground.” Davis’ TV Partner Eric Barrosced added.
There have been 116 immaculate laps registered in baseball. Miami Marlin’s Pitcher Cal Quantrill’s immaculate ining last month was the last time it happened in a major league match.
