Karachi:
Recently recruited young people in the police force from various districts have been sent to perform security tasks in Jamshoro for Muharram without receiving any formal education.
According to reports, the police department has not arranged to give the mandatory meals to these recruits on duty for the past five days.
The young men buy food and water from their own pockets or are dependent on charity meals from Nazar and Nayaz from Muharram Majalis.
In a viral video, the recruits expressed their distress and said, “We have been deployed to Muharram processional security, but we have not received any training yet. Despite being on duty, we will not get meals or allowances. We are facing extreme difficulties.” When Jamshoro was addressed to, said, “If I get something I will give you something.”
In their message, they have appealed to IG Sindh, you Hyderabad and other senior authorities to notice their condition.
Due to a shortage of police staff in Jamshoro districts and the surrounding areas, they have recently recruited, untrent officers have been awarded to Muharram security tasks. Many of them have been sent from districts like Naushahro Feroze.
