Lahore:
Punjab Chief Minister Maryam Nawaz Sharif, who was presumed to be a meeting to review the reasons for the alleged spread of AIDS in Tehsil Taunsa, instructed the affected authorities on Friday to not only determine the causes of the spread of the disease but also identify those responsible for criminal negligence.
She issued directives to establish a joint mission from UNICEF, which and Punjab Health Department to track the history of the affected children and to conduct the screening of households in their areas.
The common mission will present proposals for the prevention and control of AIDS.
The Minister of Ministry ordered the authorities to take effective measures to protect the population in the area and sought from them an effective operational plan for the purpose.
In her direction, special centers have been created for the treatment of AIDS in Taunsa Tehsil Headquarters Hospital and other medical facilities.
Main Minister Maryam Nawaz ordered authorities to provide free treatment to AIDS-affected children in the area and warned: “No deficiency or negligence in their treatment will be tolerated.”
Meanwhile, CM Maryam Nawaz Faisalabad valued to arrest within hours of the suspect in a gang rape during robbery. She instructed the policy to ensure early arrest of the two employees of the suspects.
