Unlicensed drivers to jail, seizure of vehicle

Islamabad:

Faizabad Traffic Police Office has been linked to 11 police Khidmat Marakiz (facilitation centers) across the district to limit possible corruption and give citizens’ convenience. The working hours of these centers have also been extended by three hours from 1 p.m. 9 to 21.

From October 1, drivers without valid licenses will face strict action: heavy fines, registration of a criminal case in the police station concerned, the ship’s ship and arrest of the driver.

The decision was made during a high-level meeting, chairman of the Inspector General of the Islamabad Police, late last night, participated by senior police officers, including you Islamabad. IGP instructed officials to speed up the process of issuing a driver’s license and securing maximum facilities to the public.

As part of these measures, Faizabad Traffic Police Office will now remain open 24 hours next to the F-6 Khidmat Markaz. Additional counters are also created to deal with the increased public demand.

IGP also announced that traffic -police -related services in the future will also be delivered through all police stations in the federal capital. In addition, driver’s license facilities have now been made available at all 11 khidmat marakiz to make the process easier and more accessible to citizens.

The public has been invited to get their driver’s license by October 1st, as driving without one after the deadline will lead to FIR -registration, arrest and vehicle cutting. Traffic Police are running attention campaigns on several platforms to inform citizens of these new measures.

IGP emphasized that maintaining law and order, fighting crime and giving any possible facility to citizens remain the highest priorities of the Islamabad police.
