The first snowfall and rain of the winter season was recorded on Tuesday across various hill ranges of Khyber-Pakhtunkhwa.

Rain and snow continued to lash the upper parts of the country on Thursday as the National Disaster Management Authority (NDMA) issued a weather alert.
According to the National Emergency Operation Center (NEOC), rain accompanied by thunderstorms is expected in various areas during the next 12 to 24 hours.
A warning has also been issued about possible snowfall and landslides in the northern regions.
The public is advised to avoid unnecessary travel and take precautions in areas prone to landslides.
A sustained spell of unexpected, heavy and unseasonal rainfall continued to lash Azad Jammu and Kashmir for the third consecutive day on Thursday, while temperatures plunged sharply and disrupted daily life across the state.
